The Wichita Community Children’s Choir is a vibrant and upbeat choral program comprised of youth grades 4-8 with unchanged voices who love to sing. Our choir is unique in that our members come together from all across the Wichita metro area. These young artists form friendships, create beautiful music, develop their talents through unique music experiences, and bond as a WCCC family.
The choir presents two major concerts in winter and spring as well as numerous community events and festivals. Founded in 1992, WCCC singers pride themselves on being young ambassadors to the Wichita area, as they not only carry on a tradition of musical excellence ,but also participate in a chosen community service project each year.
MUSIC BRINGS US TOGETHER - All students and staff deserve to have equal access to opportunity regardless of the color of their skin, gender, sexual orientation, the language they speak or their background. This freedom is fundament to our choral program and is extended to everyone without exception.
Friends University and WCCC have had a long history of collaboration and mutual recognition of the importance of exposing young adults, teens and children to music in the greater Wichita community. Both of these organizations have state/national recognition. WCCC is grateful for our Educational Partner, Friends University, who graciously provides weekly rehearsal space for us and support in many other ways. GO FALCONS!
